In 2020, Marinette School District area voters approved a referendum to rightsize the District. The money was used to make significant updates at the elementary-level buildings. We are very thankful for this support and pleased to report this work was completed on time and under budget.
Now, we are focusing on the Middle and High school to build a better future for our students.
Many major building systems (heating, ventilation, electrical, and roofs) and components (windows,
walls, doors, floors, and furnishings) have exceeded their service life and need to be replaced.
In addition, our classrooms and labs are outdated. In our region, we are seeing an increased need for
workers in the trades, manufacturing, and service industries. Our technical education (shop) areas
need to be updated to properly train our students with the right equipment.
The District plans to use the survey responses to help identify community priorities and specifically what projects, if any, would be supported by taxpayers. The survey code that will be mailed to you can only be used once. To obtain more surveys for other adults in the household, please call the District office at 715.735.1407.
