Spotlight On Learning: Garfield Elementary staff members, Kam Dama (Building Coordinator), Karrie Sadowski (Literacy Quality Assurance Specialist and 1st Grade Virtual Teacher), and Jackie Seyfert (1st Grade In-Person Teacher) presented an overview of Seesaw, the district's learning management system for grades 1-4, during last evening's board meeting. Our presenters shared how the digital system is enhancing learning for both virtual and in-person learners across the district. The platform organizes and provides a multitude of activities and assignments, and also provides students opportunities to showcase their learning with their family members by uploading photos, videos, drawings of their work using the journal feature. Communication features also allow families and teachers to connect directly regarding their students' progress.
